WHO'S A GOOD DOG? was established in 2022 and is owned and managed by Master Dog Groomer Tom O’Mahony. Tom Graduated from Sparsholt College in 2006 with a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management, he then began his dog grooming career in 2007 in a prestigious dog grooming salon in Dublin, where he remained until 2022 holding the position of Head Stylist.

In 2014 Tom became fully qualified with a City & Guilds Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists. Furthermore in 2018 he gained his Master Craftsman dog grooming qualification, making him the first male dog groomer in the Republic of Ireland to become a Certified Master Dog Groomer.

Over the years Tom has successfully competed in dog grooming competitions at a very high standard and regularly wins or is placed in various classes. He is an internationally award winning dog groomer with career highlights being awarded Reserve Dog Groomer of the Year in both 2016 and 2022 in the annual IPDGA (Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association) competition.

Tom keeps up to date with the latest grooming styles and salon practices by regularly attending educational seminars in order to ensure that the services offered by WHO'S A GOOD DOG? are the best and most up-to-date available. He also employs the safest salons practices by being a trained Canine First Aid Responder. Tom is also an active member of the IPDGA.

About

Jonny is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the business as well as coordinating promotion of the WHO’S A GOOD DOG? brand through the various social media marketing channels. He is also responsible for website design and management, and for the cohesive design and brand image of all marketing materials such as business cards, company flyers and other promotional materials.

Jonny holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies (Entrepreneurship) from IADT and has worked successfully in the financial services industry since 2005.

Niklaus is a Bedlington Terrier and was born in 2019. He can be found most days  sitting in his orange chair in the salon keeping an eye on the day-to-day activities and welcoming clients and their dogs to WHO'S A GOOD DOG?. He loves meeting new people and will always stop to say hello to new friends when he is out for his daily walks. He has been known to turn a few heads when he is out and about and often gets compared to a sheep or a goat!
